I have officially sold my life and my soul to this game.
As a warning ahead, this post is not an ad for the game that I have played. I don't even get any money from writing this, but I just want to share my experience of how I have spent the rest of my day playing this game.
I played many games, ranging from the console, mobile to PC. Offline or online, old-retro game or the newest one. There's also the time where I spend months of my life dedicated to one game only, where I woke up and then just sit all day to just play the game. Obviously, it is not literally spending 24 hours in front of my screen to play the game but surely it's about 10-12 hours a day. Which is a lot.
I grew up playing the shit-ton Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and I can 100% said that my teenager's memories were spent mostly on that game, especially the San Andreas Multiplayer. Where after school, I just sit in front of my laptop and play the game all day. Chatting with the community, roleplaying in the server, and many others. SAMP literally gives me a new second life.
This is also the game that taught me English way better than my teacher, even though I also learn some words that I shouldn't know at that time.
After SAMP, there's no game that really "sucks" my life that much anymore. I even thought that I grew tired of playing games. Then, I decided to save my money from work and buy myself a PS4, and also one game where finally my life get sucked again.
It's Red Dead Redemption 2, baby.
I have spent A MONTH just to play and finish this game, during that time, I have nothing to think about except Red Dead Redemption 2, the world that is so lived-in, the characters that are so great, and obviously the story that you want to finish, but at the same time, you don't want to see the ending.
During the game-time, I forgot anything in my life. Even my GF complaint to me (lol) but I have so much fun playing that game. Until finally (I don't want to give a spoiler) the thing happened and the game feels different without him. That's where I dropped the game finally.
My life finally back to normal, I check my e-mail like a normal person would, go out and have fun with friends, chill out with my GF, and enjoys life. Until I stumbled on this game.
If you have read one or two articles from this website, then you know that I am a sucker for Football. What you might don't know is, I love Football Manager even more. I spent countless hours playing Football Manager 2020 until I finally droppped the game.
Even though I basically just seeing numbers and excel sheets, there's something intriguing about playing Football Manager, especially if the game comes with an in-game editor where I have many freedoms to build my own club, designing the badge and the kits, build the stadium and many other.
We Are Football is the one that gives me that choice.
I think I have spent almost a month playing this game and I don't feel any slightest bored feeling. I have promoted my club from 4th division in England to Championship. Yes, while the majority of the club and the player is just non-existing real-life players (due to the licenses) but I can 100% says that We Are Football is in some-way, better than Football Manager.
